After a long time, power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is back into acting. Making the speculations true, Pawan commenced shooting for his upcoming film – a remake of superhit Bollywood film “Pink,” in Hyderabad on Monday.
Pawan will be playing the character of a lawyer, which was originally played in Hindi by superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
The Telugu version of the film, which is yet to be titled, is being directed by Venu Sriram and produced by Boney Kapoor along with Dil Raju under the banner Bayview Projects in association with Sri Venkateswara Creations.
Interestingly, Pawan is retaining his beard for the initial shots of the film, being shot in a court hall, the setting for which has already been laid.
“May be in the coming scenes, when there are a couple of songs related to the past of the hero, Pawan could be seen without beard,” sources said.
It is learnt the story of Pink has been tweaked to some extent to suit Pawan Kalyan’s star image and also to appeal to the Telugu audiences.
“There could be a couple of songs and fights on Pawan to entertain his fans,” sources said.
The producers are maintaining suspense over the heroine pairing with Pawan in the film. There is a talk that it could be Pooja Hegde, who is at her top form in Tollywood at present, but it is not yet confirmed. It might be revealed in a week or two.
