Northern Actress Speaks Highly of South Film Makers

Last year, Mrunal made her debut in the South Indian film industry with the highly appreciated film Sita Ramam, opposite Dulquer Salmaan.

The actress considers this experience to be a turning point in her career and is now set to appear in a Telugu movie alongside Vijay Deverakonda.

Reflecting on her journey in the South film industry, Mrunal shares, "Working in the South has broadened my perspective on cinema and my life as an actor. It has made me realize that cinema is a global art form, but there are unique nuances to each place and language. Through Love Sonia (2018), I had the opportunity to work with an international team, which was a valuable learning experience.

In South films, I admire the depth given to each character. Every character has a well-defined arc on paper and on screen. The filmmaking process itself is distinctive. South filmmakers have a distinct and intuitive way of storytelling. The shoot duration may be longer, but the attention to detail is fascinating and enriching for me as an actor and my creative process."

The actress, who has also appeared in Hindi films like Jersey and Selfiee, further adds, "Another heartwarming aspect is how kind and welcoming the entire production team is on set, even when someone is new to their language. They genuinely embrace you and treat you like family."

Mrunal doesn't forget to commend her co-star Vijay Deverakonda, describing him as "extremely soft-spoken" and mentioning the spark he brings to his performances when he steps in front of the camera.
