It is well known that Sekhar Kammula tends to film almost everything he writes, which often results in lengthy films unless the editor takes a firm hand during post-production.
Most of his movies require significant trimming to keep the runtime in check.
There were rumors that, after witnessing the massive success of long films like Pushpa 2 and Animal — both running over three and a half hours — Sekhar Kammula might consider an extended version of Kubera as well.
Some reports even suggested that the Dhanush and Nagarjuna starrer could clock in at around three hours and forty-five minutes. However, our sources confirm that the film’s runtime has now been locked at just under three hours.
The current cut stands between 2 hours 50 minutes and 3 hours, and it will not exceed that.
Kuberaa, a political drama, is generating positive buzz within the industry. However, it still needs a stronger promotional push to capture wider public attention. The third song from the film, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, is set to be released soon.
For now, Kuberaa has yet to generate the kind of promotional hype typically seen with big-ticket releases.
