If Naatu Naatu Wins An Oscar, Charan Will Do This

Ram Charan, who is currently in Los Angeles, has been occupied with engaging with foreign media.

As he prepares for his attendance at the upcoming Academy Awards in a few weeks, the actor recently appeared on ABC, a US television network, to discuss RRR's global success, Naatu Naatu's Oscar nomination, and more.

The song Naatu Naatu, from SS Rajamouli's RRR, has been nominated for this year's Oscars in the Best Original Song category.

When asked about his reaction if Naatu Naatu wins an Oscar, Ram Charan stated, "I don't think I'll believe it. They would have to wake me up and say, 'go and take it. Shove me up on stage.'"

Additionally, Ram Charan expressed, "I'll be the happiest, not just for us, but for India. The film industry has been around for over 80 years, and for the first time, we are being recognized and nominated by the Academy. I don't think it'll be just our success; it'll be the Indian film industry's success. I am not saying this to sound good; I really mean it. None of us can take the credit. It's the culmination of many people's emotions, culture, and everything put together."

This year, Naatu Naatu was awarded Best Song at the 80th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.

It competed against other nominees in the category such as Taylor Swift's Carolina from Where The Crawdads Sing, Ciao Papa from Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio, Lady Gaga's Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, and Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The 95th Academy Awards will be hosted on March 12 at the Dolly Theatre in Los Angeles.
