Kingdom Day 2 Slips Slightly After $1.18M Launch

Kingdom Day 2 Slips Slightly After $1.18M Launch

Vijay Deverakonda’s latest release Kingdom has made a sensational debut at the North American box office, grossing $1,186,000 (₹10.3 crore) on its opening day, including premieres.

The film earned $920,000 from premiere shows (after adjustments), followed by $265,000 on its first full day (Thursday).

This marks the biggest-ever North American opening for Vijay Deverakonda, surpassing the records set by his previous films like Liger and Kushi.

With just one day of collections, Kingdom has already recovered around 56% of its reported breakeven target in the overseas market.

However, Day 2 has seen a slight dip. The film is currently trending towards a $175,000 to $200,000 Friday, with noticeable drops during afternoon shows.

The final outcome of Day 2 now depends on how well the evening and night shows perform.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, Kingdom has opened on a strong note thanks to Vijay Deverakonda’s box office pull and the film’s commercial appeal.

As the weekend approaches, all eyes are on whether the film can sustain momentum and continue its strong run in the North American market.
