The cult blockbuster Baby has earned widespread acclaim and numerous awards, solidifying its status as a modern classic.
The film’s remarkable journey — from a modest release to becoming one of the year's biggest hits — has been marked by critical praise and industry recognition.
Now, it has achieved its most prestigious honor yet: a National Award. Starring Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in lead roles, Baby won two major awards at the 71st National Film Awards for the year 2023.
Director Sai Rajesh received the Best Screenplay Writer award for his emotionally resonant storytelling, while PVNS Rohit won Best Playback Singer (Male) for his soulful performance in the song Premisthunna.
The film grossed over ₹100 crore at the box office and was celebrated across various award platforms, including GAMA and SIIMA, collecting multiple accolades.
These honors reflect not only its widespread popularity but also the outstanding efforts of its cast and crew.
Directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN under the Mass Movie Makers banner, Baby continues to receive appreciation for its heartfelt narrative and strong performances.
The National Awards further cement the contributions of producer SKN and director Sai Rajesh to Indian cinema.
A Hindi remake of Baby is currently in development. Meanwhile, producer SKN is teaming up once again with writer-director Sai Rajesh and director Ravi Nambhuri for a new project titled Chennai Love Story, starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya.
