"Guntur Kaaram" has faced numerous issues and production delays. Despite being one of the top filmmakers in Telugu cinema, Trivikram has little influence over production decisions for this film.
Currently, Mahesh Babu holds complete control. Trivikram wasted a significant amount of time by rewriting the script twice. As a result, Mahesh Babu took charge and started making decisions about the film because Trivikram lacks confidence in his own writing.
Mahesh Babu expressed his desire to replace Thaman, the music director, but Trivikram convinced him that Thaman would provide the best tunes.
However, Trivikram did agree with Mahesh Babu's decision to cast Sreeleela as the main heroine and remove Pooja Hegde from the project.
Normally, Trivikram wouldn't have agreed to this, but he is currently not in a commanding position.
