Big Insult For 'Guntur Kaaram' Collections

The box office collections of "Guntur Kaaram" are posing a significant challenge to the stardom of Mahesh Babu.

The film's disastrous reception has spread widely through public talk videos and social media reports, leading many family audiences to cancel their tickets wherever possible.

Surprisingly, the top rows in multiplexes and stand-alone theaters, usually reserved for celebrities and government officers, were released on BookMyShow by the exhibitors for public purchase due to a lack of demand. But still, the fresh bookings are not at all encouraging.

Unfortunately, the film faced a considerable setback, with the second day recording no housefuls in many centers.

The situation is even more pitiful in the USA. On Saturday, the second day of release, "Guntur Kaaram" collected only $200,678, while "Hanu-man" garnered a whopping $650,000, more than triple the former.

Estimates for the third day suggest that "Hanu-man" may collect close to $700,000, continuing its successful run both at home and abroad, overshadowing the disappointing performance of "Guntur Kaaram" at the box office.

Mahesh Babu, usually a top star in the USA Telugu market for collections, is now facing an unexpected setback, with Teja Sajja's "Hanu-man" presenting tough competition.
