The Telangana American Telugu Association's (TTA) second solo mega convention, held in Seattle from May 24th to 26th, 2024, This landmark event, the first-ever Telangana Telugu convention in the history of the Pacific Northwest, was an inspiring triumph, drawing a large and enthusiastic audience and setting a new benchmark for cultural gatherings.

Under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Malla Reddy Pailla, Dr. Vijayapal Reddy, Dr. Mohan Reddy Patalolla, and Bharath Reddy Madadi, TTA Executive committee and TTA Board of Directors the TTA pulled off a herculean feat.

President Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla, Convener Chandrasena Sriramoju, Naveen Reddy Mallipeddi (President Elect), Manikyam Thukkapuram (Coordinator), Ganesh Madhav Veeramaneni (Co-convenor), Manohar Bodke (Co-Coordinator), Pradeep Mettu (National Director) CEC, Convention Regional Advisors Anil Errabelli, Manoj Chinithireddy, and Dr. Dwarakanath Reddy, the team dedicated themselves to crafting an unforgettable six-month journey culminating in this historic event.

Special recognition goes to Dr. Dwarakanath Reddy for his invaluable support and guidance throughout the convention.

The tireless efforts of the Regional Vice Presidents, Standing Committees, and volunteers were instrumental in making this event a resounding success. Their collective hard work, passion, and commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on the TTA community. This achievement is a testament to the power of collaboration, dedication, and visionary leadership convention was a vibrant tapestry of Telangana culture. The TTA, led by President Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla and guided by the Advisory Council, shattered fundraising records, raising a staggering $3.5 million. The tireless efforts of the Convention Executive Committee and fundraising committee ensured they reached this ambitious target.

Generosity flowed from every corner. Donors from all TTA chapters contributed magnificently, and attendees reveled in the spectacular Friday banquet. Over 2,000 guests filled the Seattle Convention Center, a testament to the event's magnetic pull. The banquet committee orchestrated a feast for the senses, with enticing drinks and an overflowing menu.

The awards ceremony, overseen by the Awards Committee, recognized individuals who have made exceptional contributions. Cultural performances captivated the audience, while dazzling fashion shows added a touch of glamour to the mega event. The evening culminated in a high-octane performance by legendary music director Vandemataram Srinivas, whose popular Telugu songs had the audience dancing till dawn.

Saturday dawned with a vibrant Indian Day Celebrations and parade, a magnificent celebration of Indian culture and diversity. The event was a kaleidoscope of cultures from across India, with Telangana's pride - Bathukamma, Bonalu, and Potharajulu - taking center stage. The TTA's passionate cultural team curated a spectacular display, showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of Telangana.

The convention was officially inaugurated by a lamp-lighting ceremony, graced by TTA leadership, Telangana dignitaries, and esteemed members of the Advisory Council.

The entrance was a visual masterpiece, adorned by the decoration committee with a majestic Telangana Thalli statue, a replica of the iconic Charminar, the intricate Kakatita Kala Thoranam, and a homage to the warriors, Samakka and Sarakka. Throughout the day, the TTA offered a smorgasbord of cultural events, a delectable lunch, and over 100 vendor booths showcasing everything from jewelry and clothing to real estate and delectable treats.

The Hospitality, Food, Transportation, and Vendor committees, the unsung heroes behind the scenes, ensured every detail was meticulously addressed.

The afternoon teemed with activity: political forums, alumni reunions, literary gatherings, the TTA Star competition, the TTA Pageant Show, and more, each packed to the brim in ballrooms or conference rooms. Renowned Telangana political figures, esteemed Vice Chancellors, and celebrated poets shared their wisdom and insights.

Saturday evening witnessed a culmination of artistic expression. Over 1,500 participants and their families took to the backstage, ready to showcase a mesmerizing array of programs. By 6:30 pm, the main hall was pulsating with energy, packed with a staggering 8,000 Plus attendees.

The TTA security team rose to the challenge, ensuring the crowd's safety. Meanwhile, the tireless food committee kept the audience satiated with a sumptuous dinner served well into the night.

The prestigious TTA lifetime achievement award was bestowed upon the esteemed Dr. Haranath Policherla. The expertly curated cultural feast, a testament to the cultural team's dedication, left the audience spellbound.

The Parampaara dance was a particular highlight, earning a thunderous standing ovation. The evening reached its zenith with the Melodious Theory band's electrifying performance, their mesmerizing live orchestra captivating the enraptured audience.

Sunday commenced with an event of profound spiritual significance: the Sree Sita Rama Kalyanam, meticulously performed by priests from the Bandrachalam Temple. Seattle was transformed into a spiritual haven as priests brought the Utsavamoorthies of Rama and Seetha for this auspicious ceremony.

The TTA spiritual committee ensured everyone's comfort during the event, which was attended by over two thousand participants. The main hall resonated with chants of "Jai Sriram" throughout the morning, as attendees received blessings and prasadam. A delicious lunch was served after the ceremony.

Special recognition goes to Narsimha Reddy Donthi Reddy (EVP), who took the responsibility of making this event a success. His dedication and efforts ensured a memorable experience for all participants.

Sunday's programs included a business forum talk by Dr. Chee’s Reddy, which inspired young entrepreneurs on how to succeed in business. Various other inspirational talks made a lasting impression on the attendees.

The grand finale evening saw the TTA express its gratitude to the countless volunteers, sister organization community leaders, and achievers who were presented with TTA awards. Shri. Premsagar Reddy Garu was also honored with a lifetime achievement award, and his inspirational speech mesmerized the audience, filling them with motivation to achieve success in their lives.

The TTA mega convention in Seattle was a grand success, with a massive audience in attendance. The security team, who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all attendees, reported that their body cams captured 13,489 unique faces on Saturday between 6-8 pm and 17,359 on Sunday in the main event hall.
 
The TTA Advisory team and Board honored TTA's dynamic President, Vamshi Reddy, and extended their gratitude to the entire Seattle team for their outstanding efforts in making the mega convention a resounding success. This achievement marked a historic milestone as the first-ever convention hosted by a Telugu organization in the West Coast region.

The event concluded with a vibrant cultural program, featuring the TTA Swagatha Geetham and fashion shows. The day culminated in a mesmerizing musical show by Thaman, which had the entire crowd enthralled and dancing until 1 AM.

President Vamshi Reddy Kancharakuntla expressed deep gratitude to the local teams for their relentless hard work over the past six months, highlighting how their dedication made it possible to organize such a historically significant event in the Pacific Northwest for the first time.
