A horror crash on Florida’s Turnpike has left three dead after an illegal immigrant truck driver pulled a reckless U-turn across the highway.
The terrifying smash happened in St. Lucie County when a semi-truck towing a huge box trailer tried to swing around in a restricted “Official Use Only” section.
The truck jackknifed, crushing a family van beneath its trailer and leaving three innocent lives lost in an instant.
Fire crews battled to cut through the wreckage, but the victims — a 30-year-old man, a 37-year-old woman, and a 54-year-old man — were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, identified as Harjinder Singh, a Sikh man who crossed into the U.S. illegally in 2018, was arrested on three counts of vehicular homicide.
He had been living in the country under an immigration bond while awaiting deportation hearings.
Highway Patrol officers said the minivan “had no chance” to avoid the massive truck as it cut across all northbound lanes in broad daylight.
The crash shut down traffic for hours, sparking chaos as thousands of drivers were forced to turn back.
The case is already fueling political fire, with Team Trump blasting Singh as an “illegal immigrant killer” and demanding tighter border controls.
