Rise Tower: The 2-Kilometer Icon Set to Redefine Global Skylines

The global architecture and design firm HKS has revealed its visionary proposal for Rise Tower, a record-breaking skyscraper planned for the North Pole District north of Riyadh.

Set to soar to an astonishing height of nearly 2 kilometers, the structure is poised to become the tallest tower in the world; almost three times taller than Dubai’s Burj Khalifa (828 meters).

Conceived as a centrepiece of Saudi Vision 2030, Rise Tower aims to be far more than just an engineering marvel.

The project is envisioned as a world-class architectural landmark and tourism magnet, redefining the Riyadh skyline and cementing the city’s place among the world’s most progressive urban landscapes.

HKS’s proposal suggests a design that harmonises futuristic aesthetics with advanced engineering, pushing the limits of vertical construction.

The tower is expected to host luxury residences, world-class hotels, premium office spaces, observation decks, and cultural attractions; creating a vertical city within itself.

By surpassing every existing height record, Rise Tower is set to transform global perceptions of skyscraper design.

Its sheer scale, combined with cutting-edge sustainability and smart-city features, positions it as a defining symbol of Saudi Arabia’s ambitions to diversify its economy and enhance its international profile.

If completed as envisioned, Rise Tower will not only dominate the Riyadh skyline but also claim its place as one of the most iconic structures in human history.
