T-Cong leaders get chance to attack CM

Telangana Congress leaders, who have been simmering with discontent against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for stalling the Telangana statehood, has now got a chance to deride him.

Three of the Telangana Congress MPs – Ponnam Prabhakar, S Rajaiah and G Vivekananda met All India Congress Committee in-charge of Andhra affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad in Lake View Guest House on Saturday morning and lodged a complaint against the Chief Minister. They told him that the Kiran government was using the state intelligence authorities to keep a tab on the movements of the Telangana leaders and activists, rather than of the terror suspects.

β€œIt is shameful on the part of the Chief Minister to say that the state police had not acted just because there were no specific intelligence inputs from the Centre. What is the state intelligence network doing, except to track down the movement of the Telangana activists? The police authorities, too, were busy in filing bind-over cases against the Telangana leaders in the wake of Sadak Bandh on February 24. They did not bother about keeping a watch on crowded places like Dilsukhnagar,” Ponnam said.

Stating that the twin blasts at Dilsukhnagar had brought a bad name to the Kiran government, Ponnam appealed to the Congress high command to inquire into the style of functioning of the Kiran government.
