With the entry of political strategist Prashant Kishor into the arena to help YSR Congress party for the next elections, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has lost no time in working out the counter-strategies.
Apparently realising that he would be on the losing side, if he allows YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to take up padayatra to attack the TDP government, the chief minister has come out with a plan to aggressively take up the publicity to promote his government’s achievements.
As part of the strategy, Naidu has decided to launch “Inti Intiki Telugu Desam” (TDP to every doorstep) campaign from September 17 in order to highlight the TDP governance in the last three years.
Naidu advised the party leaders and Ministers in the party coordination committee meeting to make the public aware of the developmental works and welfare schemes taken up by TDP government.
Alleging that the Opposition wants to benefit from the strong foundation laid by the TDP government after state bifurcation, the Chief Minister said that their party will have a strong foothold politically if they achieve results through the developmental works and welfare schemes being implemented by TDP.
