Naidu's new house costs hundreds of crores?

The newly-constructed bungalow of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad costs hundreds of crores, if one were to go by the estimates of YSR Congress party leaders.

Naidu quietly performed Gruha pravesham and Satyanarayana Vratam for his new house on Sunday and Monday without inviting even his closest party leaders and confining the ceremony to only some family members.

Even media persons and photographers were not allowed anywhere near the house and the security personnel prevented them from taking photograph of the house even from a distance. Particularly, photographers of Sakshi media house owned by YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, made several attempts to go near the house, but were kept at bay.

This has naturally given rise to the suspicion to the YSR Congress party leaders.

“Why so much secrecy about Naidu’s house? Definitely, it is a massive mansion constructed with hundreds of crores. People should know how the house looks like and why he has constructed the house in Hyderabad, when he shifted the capital to Amaravati so hurriedly,” YSRC leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said.

In fact, the bungalow was constructed in an area of 1,285 square yards, in place of his old residence. The total built up area of the five-storeyed house is said to be around 20,000 sft and the total cost of construction is around Rs 10 crore. Naidu and his minister-son Lokesh raised a loan of over Rs 7 crore from Bank of Baroda.

According to reports, the bungalow had been built with modern technology. It has a huge conference room for Naidu to hold meetings whenever he comes to Hyderabad, besides chambers for his office and security staff. It has also provision for library and other recreational activities. There is a huge parking space that can accommodate at least 20 cars at a time, say sources.
