Naidu threatens to sue anti-capital forces!

Asserting that no force on the earth can stop making Amaravati a global city, Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday threatened to take legal action against those forces who are allegedly trying to create hurdles in the capital construction.

Expressing anguish over certain groups trying to scuttle the capital city projects, in the form of sending anonymous petitions sent to the World Bank, the chief minister directed that the CRDA firmly dealt with such forces through legal means.

“Ready a comprehensive action plan with measures to be initiated legally against the people working against the capital city. We shall not spare such forces,” he said.

Naidu made it clear that there was no question of tolerating the vicious forces that were targeting the capital city construction of plans.

“They have been trying to derail Amaravati for long. We should not allow such people to succeed,” he told the officials.

“If anyone has any rivalry they can fight it out with me. Why should they target the farmers of capital city?,” he said.

The chief minister was pained at the recent anonymous complaints lodged by the opposition leaders to the World Bank with a sole aim to stall the promised funding to the capital city projects to the tune of around US $715 million of which world bank lending is proposed to be US $300 million through an IBRD investment project.

He said these forces also filed petitions before the National Green Tribunal, Supreme Court and high courts only with a view to derail the capital city.

He observed that entire administration should work in tandem to make such forces fail because they are working against the peoples’ interests.
