A film has to have a golden jubilee for it to be a confirmed hit. Or so it was in the past or at least till the late 1980s.
And one movie that is a landmark film in the history of Telugu cinema which was a huge hit and celebrated golden jubilees at various centres was Chiranjeevi’s Gang Leader.
The mega fans insist that none could break its record till now. Of course, Vijayabapeneedu’s Gang Leader completing 100 days was one record and the film celebrating 100 days function at 4 centres on the same day was another record.
Incidentally, Gang Leader celebrated the 100 day function simultaneously in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vizag and Tirupati.
At the time, a helicopter was hired specially for megastar Chiranjeevi to be present at all the four functions.
