YCP MLA Jumps Into TDP For MLA Seat?

YCP MLA Jumps Into TDP For MLA Seat?

Reports suggest that a YCP Dalit MLA has secured a position with the TDP for the upcoming elections.

Chief Minister YS Jagan has made it clear that, for various reasons, the senior YCP leader cannot be given a ticket for the upcoming elections. It is believed that the MLA in question has been in contact with TDP leaders.

The said leader, a senior IAS officer, started his political career with the PRP. He contested the Lok Sabha but lost, then joined YCP and contested as an MP candidate from the same seat where he had lost earlier. He won, but there were complaints about his lack of attention to the MLAs in his Lok Sabha constituency.

As a result, he was made to contest as an MLA from the SC reserved seat in the Tirupati Parliament and is currently serving as an MLA.

However, the MLA could not get along with the village and mandal level leaders in his constituency, which is a stronghold of YCP.

The YCP ranks have warned the leadership that if he is given a ticket again, he will be defeated, so a change is necessary. After learning that he was not given a ticket from YCP, he started trying his luck with TDP.

The TDP leadership is inclined to give the ticket to the financially sound MLA. It is reported that Chandrababu has decided to give him the SC reserved assembly seat in Tirupati.

The said MLA is believed to have expressed gratitude to CM Jagan, who denied him the ticket, and has been telling his close acquaintances that he was given an opportunity to talk to the other party because of the refusal.

He also expressed his thankfulness to Chandrababu for showing willingness to give him the ticket, although CM Jagan refused to give it to him.
