The proposed three-day political yatra of power star and Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan across Telangana starting Monday seems to have triggered some panic among the Telangana Congress leaders.
It was evident from the way the Congress leaders from Telangana started reacting to Pawan’s tour.
Apparently, they are of the view that Pawan’s tour in Telangana, where his party has very little stakes, is a conspiracy hatched by Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to divide the anti-incumbency vote.
Telangana Congress former MP Ponnam Prabhakar criticised Pawan Kalyan over his comments made during separate Telangana agitation.
He demanded that the Jana Sena leader announce his opposition to Telangana as a big mistake.
Ponnam asked the government as to how Pawan Kalyan could be granted permission for his yatra when the temple is receiving huge devotees.
He went on to pose a question as to what the secret deal between the Chief Minister and Pawan Kalyan was in granting permission to the latter for his yatra.
“If Pawan has so much love for Telangana, he should attack the TRS government in strongest terms for his anti-people policies and atrocities against Dalits,” he said.
