Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has taken a decision to give smart mobile phone free of cost to every household in the state.
According to the latest decision, Naidu is also planning to offer three-year free of cost recharge facility to each smartphone given to every family.
His government is learnt to have entered into an understanding with Reliance Group to supply Jio network to all these smart phones.
Well, it is not just one of those freebies being announced by Naidu to attract voters. There is a clear strategy behind it.
According to party sources, the TDP is planning to extensively use social media in the forthcoming assembly elections and reach out to every voter through social media groups like WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter during the electioneering.
While supplying the mobile phone to each family, the Naidu government wants to ensure that the user would have a compulsory TDP app installed in each mobile phone and they get instant alerts and messages from the control centre.
The TDP chief is planning to make use of the services of Real Time Governance to regularly brainwash the voters on the government’s programmes.
So, the people might be happy to get a free smartphone in their hands, but they should bear with the regular messages from the TDP and the state government, Naidu’s speeches and appeals to them to vote for the TDP continuously till the elections!
