Kesineni Nani, the two-time MP from Vijayawada is now having trouble both in the TDP and his own family.
He is having serious differences with his brother Kesineni Sivanadh alias Chinni, who is doing real estate business in Hyderabad.
Chinni had been playing key role in the electioneering of his brother Nani in the last two terms, which contributed for his victory in 2014 and 2019.
However, things seem to have changed for him since his second victory as he was kept aside in the election for key posts in the Parliamentary Party.
He had been inactive in the party for several months and had been saying that he would not contest the 2024 general elections.
It is said that Nani had already told Chandrababu Naidu to find an alternative to him in Vijayawada for the 2024 elections.
While he was expecting the party to request him to contest again, he got a surprise from his own family with his brother Chinni becoming active in the party.
Sources say that Nani strongly believes that Nara Lokesh is behind Chinni becoming active and aspiring to contest the Vijayawada Lok Sabha seat in the next election.
All is not well between Nani and Lokesh as the former doesn’t take orders from the latter.
Lokesh, in his efforts to get control over the party has been keeping the seniors aside and encouraging jouniors.
Former minister Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary too had expressed same displeasure over Lokesh’s role in the party.
It is now clear that Lokesh is behind the troubles in the Kesineni family, which is said to have riked Nani to make strong comments against the party and its chief Chandrababu Naidu in Delhi.
Nani is leanred to have said that TDP would not come to power in the 2024 elections. Even if the party wins 40 to 50 seats, C M Ramesh would play Eknath Shinde role in TDP and split the party, he said.
In fact, Nani had even complained to the police against his brother who is said to be using MP’s stickers on his cars.
Kesineni Nani is also said to be cursing Lokesh for his destructive role and blaming Chandrababu Naidu for his for Lokesh.
