When the Telangana high drama was on about three TV news channels took the onus of pushing the Samaikyandhra movement.
But the moment Telangana bill passed, they changed the plates.
Now, they are focusing on Telangana news and are coming up with exclusive features. Even arrangements are happening to come up with Telangana news section.
So far, among all the channels, except V6 all the other channels have been dominated by Andhra people.
For that matter, even T-News got the stamp of being a TRS party channel. Nobody knows whether HMTV is Telangana or Andhra. Anyhow, Kommineni Srinivasa Rao’s statement that one channel has been set up by Telangana people has sparked a discussion.
Till date, Kommineni has never dared to say that a particular channel has been set up by T-folks but now he became quite bold. And people understand the reason behind it. Meanwhile, there is a channel called Raj News which was tagged as a channel run by KCR. But after he backed out, it didn’t function much.
However, now, anchor turned TV person Swapna has been made incharge of Raj News and this is being run by few bigwigs from Chennai. It is heard that currently those in the top position in this channel hail from Andhra but precautions are being taken to ensure it doesn’t get a Telangana stamp.
We have to see how many channels will give news on Telangana for how long.
