TRS To Face Shocking Defection!

TRS To Face Shocking Defection!

It is a very rare in politics that an elected representative belonging to the ruling party takes a plunge into the opposition party.

In Andhra Pradesh, we have seen one such rate defection – of ruling Telugu Desam Party MLC Silpa Chakrapani Reddy defecting to the YSR Congress party in August this year.

Now, Telangana, too, is all set to witness the defection of an MLC from ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi into the Congress party very soon.

He is TRS MLC from Nizamabad district Rekulapally Bhupathi Reddy, who is most likely to be suspended from the party and he might join the Congress very soon.

A decision to suspend Bhupathi Reddy was taken at a meeting of MLAs, MLCs and party MP K Kavita, from Nizamabad in the residence of Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Wednesday.

Nizamabad district TRS president Tula Uma wrote a letter to TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to suspend Bhupati Reddy from the party as he he was resorting to anti-party activities.

Bhupati Reddy, who was elected to the Legislative Council from Local Authorities Constituency of Nizamabad in 2015, has been attacking party legislator from Nizamabad Rural constituency Bajireddy Goverdhan and other MLAs of the district for a long time.

Goverdhan got elected on the Congress ticket but jumped into the TRS and Bhupathi Reddy, who was hoping for the Nizamabad rural seat, is now angry with him.
