Telangana TDP Is Facing Identity Crisis!

Telangana TDP Is Facing Identity Crisis!

After Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy left the Telugu Desam Party to join the Congress, the Telangana TDP is virtually facing an identity crisis.

The party leaders are not able to understand as to what they should do in the coming days, as the party does not have much strength to retain its identity, leave alone dreaming of coming to power in the coming years.

The Telangana TDP leaders are meeting party president N Chandrababu Naidu in Hyderabad on Thursday to work out their future plans.

When Revanth was there in the TDP, he made an attempt to bring all the anti-KCR forces in Telangana under one roof. The strategy is now being adopted by the Congress after Revanth has joined the party.

Now, the remaining TDP leaders are clueless as to what they should do. “He should have tried for political alignment by staying back in the TDP. There is no need to jump into the Congress for that,” Telangana TDP leader Revuri Prakash Reddy said.

Most of these TDP leaders do not want to go into the Congress, but at the same time, they do not want to support the TRS either. In the TDP, they do not have any future. So, they are in a dilemma as to what they should do.

“One cannot sacrifice one’s own career just to save the party in Telangana,” a TDP leader observed.
