With people’s resentment increasing over denial of SCS to AP, Chandrababu Naidu was forced to quit the NDA.
Since then, at every public platform, he along with his Ministers and other Party leaders have been crying themselves hoarse that BJP has a tacit understanding with YSRCP and their friendship is responsible for the lack of assistance to AP.
After the Karnataka elections, Chandrababu expressed the apprehension that the BJP will start harassing the TDP and asked the people to for a protective cordon around him.
For quite some time, there has been speculation that the Centre has ample proof of massive corruption in all projects of Andhra Pradesh and that they will soon start taking action.
BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao has openly said that they will not spare the corrupt TDP government and that there is concrete evidence against Ministers, MLAs and even IAS and IPS officers. However, no kind of action has been initiated till date.
On the other hand, in what has come as an absolute shocker to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Smt YS Bharati, wife of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been added as an accused in the charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate.
Bharati’s name was not there these seven years. The sudden addition of her name to the case and especially now, with elections hardly a year away has sent the political analyst into overdrive.
Such a move would not have been possible without sanction from the Centre. Is this the meaning of Rajnath Singh’s words that, “Wherever Chandrababu Naidu is, he is still our friend.”
