Swamiji wants to take over devotional channel?

Swamiji or Sanyasis are those who are expected to renunciate everything and spend their lives in the worship of the almighty.

In the past, these Swamiji used to keep away from the rest of the world, giving up their material life, wealth and families.

But things have changed now. What we see at present are hi-tech Swamijis and seers. They want everything that is available in this material world – politics, publicity, land dealings and luxurious life. They move around in imported cars and adorn golden thrones.

And almost all these Swamijis have direct or indirect relations with the media houses that give them paid publicity.

Some Swamijis also have gone to the extent of establishing their own channels for publicising their mutts and activities.

According to a latest report, a popular Swamiji who has vast network in both the Telugu states, is planning to acquire an already popular devotional channel.

Apparently, the channel management has agreed to hand over the editorial responsibilities to the team of Swamiji.

It is learnt this Swamiji wants to propagate his philosophy in the name of spreading Hindu Dharma among the people for which he needs a channel. But establishing a new channel is a difficult proposition these days.

So, he wants to either take over the existing devotional channel completely or at least gain control over the editorial management.

“Discussions are in the final stages and if everything goes well, the editorial team would go into the hands of the Swamiji ashram authorities,” sources said.
