Sulking ex-MLA Marri inching towards TDP?

Has former legislator from Chilakaluripet in Guntur district and YSR Congress party leader Marri Rajasekhar started inching towards Telugu Desam Party?

It appears so, if one were to go by the open statements made by his brother-in-law Venkata Subbaiah at a meeting held in Guntur on Thursday evening, criticising YSRC president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at a meeting in Guntur, well in the presence of Rajasekhar.

The meeting was convened by Somepalli Sambaiah Foundation to express condolences over the death of former chief minister K Rosaiah at Guntur.

Venkata Subbaiah found fault with Jagan for not paying homage to Rosaiah personally and said it was an insult to the people of the state.

“Is he so busy to go to Hyderabad to pay his last respects to the departed leader?” he asked.

Subbaiah also alleged that the Reddy community had done a lot of injustice to Kammas and other communities.

“They did not sleep till Rosaiah was pulled down from the chief minister post,” he said/

He also attacked the chief minister for deliberately insulting the Kamma community in YSRC.

“The YSRC leadership, which has promised to give due recognition to our community, is now kicking us on our chests,” he criticised.

Subbaiah found fault with the Sakshi media for targeting TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu day in and day out.

“It has carried baseless stories against Naidu, only as part of targeting the Kamma community,” he said.

Interestingly, Rajasekhar remained silent even as his brother-in-law was making a scathing attack on YSRC and Jagan. It clearly shows Subbaiah was only reflecting Rajasekhar’s mind and the comments were made deliberately.

Obviously, Rajasekhar is terribly upset with the YSRC leadership for denying him the MLC seat despite repeated assurances by Jagan. He is now said to be of the view that Jagan has ignored him only because of his community.

Against this backdrop, the comments made by Subbaiah condemning the criticism on Chandrababu Naidu indicate that Rajasekhar and his followers might be looking to join the TDP.
