With the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh getting completed and the Centre imposing President’s Rule, the last popular government in the integrated State has come to an end.

And the Secretariat is now all set to get divided into two divisions – one for Telangana State and the other for Andhra Pradesh.

All the ministers’ chambers are now getting vacated to accommodate the new governments for both the States in the common capital.

The General Administration Department (GAD) on Monday issued orders vacation of chambers by former ministers by March 7.

The GAD issued orders to the heads of the departments on Monday in this regard.

According to sources, some of former ministers have already received the orders. Immediately after resignation of Kiran Kumar Reddy, majority of them, have already directed their personal staff to seek transfer to their parent departments.

The Peshis of former ministers might be vacated in two or three days. According to sources, the chamber of Chief Public Relation Officer of the Chief Minister, which was also used by press reporters to collect the information, will also be locked in a couple  of days.

The GAD officials were examining the closure of the Media Point, which was also located in front of C-block in the Secretariat as it was being used by Ministers and the political leaders also to address the media.

The closure of the Peshis of ministers will save about Rs 3.5 lakhs per day.
