If anyone is to be credited for handling the employees’ issue amicably, it should be government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy.
Though Sajjala was a bit aggressive with the employees during the initial talks, he moulded himself strategically and finally won over them.
The Ministers and the officers who were part of the talks with the employees were just figureheads to keep the agenda rolled out. But the actual dialogue was mostly carried out by Sajjala himself.
He became the target of the agitating employees, particularly the teachers, who heckled and abused him. But, he seems to have taken everything in the right spirit.
Sajjala represented chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy during the talks with the employees maintaining the balance between the government and the employees.
He took all the pressure to evolve the right strategy to resolve the imbroglio and avoided embracement to both sides.
He succeeded in finding a way out, or rather a safe exit for both the government and the employees.
The result was a gain for both sides at the end of the day, except for those who wanted to get some political advantage out of the situation.
In all, Sajjala saved the government and he saved the aggrieved employees before things went out of hand. He deserves a pat on his back for all that he had done in the entire episode for evolving a happy ending.
