The Andhra Pradesh government is busy with capital developmental activities and in the process it is coming up with various proposals.
Already, it has been requesting the Centre to release Rs 20,000 crores over a period of five years.
What’s interesting is that it has been estimated that the Governor’s residence, CM’s residence and ministers’ colony would cost Rs 1232 crores.
As per the government estimates, the Governor’s residence, CM’s residence and 25 houses for ministers (of course we now have 19 ministers) will be costing the government Rs 1232 crores.
On the other hand, construction of residential quarters for government employees would cost up to Rs 669 crores as per government estimates.
Similarly, recreation facilities will be costing Rs 1139 crores, environmental project will cost another Rs 555 crores and the remaining amount will be used for providing basic infrastructural facilities.
While none can argue against the CM, Governor and ministers having comfortable residences, quoting Rs 1232 has surprised all.
