Reports say Vijay has agreed for divorce from his wife Sangeetha and is also ready to pay alimony. Earlier, there were rumours that he would give his full remuneration from Jana Nayagan to her, but that news turned out to be false.
Now, discussions are happening in the presence of lawyers from both sides regarding the settlement amount.
As per the latest buzz, Sangeetha has reportedly asked for ₹250 crore as alimony. However, Vijay is said to have disagreed with that demand and is willing to offer around ₹35 crore instead. Talks are still going on.
Both sides have decided to settle the matter outside court. Only after that, these discussions started. If they do not reach an agreement, the case may go back to court.
Vijay reportedly wants to avoid that situation, as he is now not just an actor but also a political leader. Personal issues can create problems in politics, so he prefers to settle the matter quietly.
