Revanth To Float A New Party?

Firebrand MLA from Kodangal constituency A Revanth Reddy, who defected from Telugu Desam Party into the Congress a few months ago, is learnt to have almost decided to resign from the Congress party as well.

Reports doing rounds in the social media on Saturday said Revanth reportedly told his followers that he had done a big mistake by joining the Congress party.

“I am not able to adjust myself in the party. I used to have a lot of freedom when I was in the TDP but now, I have lost all the freedom. In the TDP, I used to command a lot of respect, but in the Congress party, nobody cares me,” he is learnt to have commented before his supporters.

Revanth felt that the party was not giving him a due recognition, though he had the capacity to change the fate of the party.

“I had been waiting all these days with a lot of patience hoping that the Congress party would utilise my services effectively. But the high command is not even bothered to entrust any responsibilities to me,” he reportedly lamented.

It is learnt Revanth is contemplating launching a new political party to test his fortunes, rather than joining another party. But since there is hardly any time for him to face the next elections, it is doubtful whether he would really take such a decision.

There is also a talk that Revanth might join the Telangana Jana Samithi floated by Prof M Kodandaram. Revanth is hopeful that since TJS is a new party, he might get considerable freedom and he can dominate everybody.
