Public Anger Mounts on Kinjarapu Duo in Srikakulam!

In Srikakulam district, public dissatisfaction is rising against the political duo — uncle and nephew, Achchennaidu and Rammohan Naidu.

Locals are openly expressing frustration, questioning the lack of development and job opportunities in the district despite both leaders holding powerful positions.

After the NDA governments came to power at both the state and central levels, the two leaders were rewarded with significant portfolios — Rammohan Naidu as a Union Minister and his uncle Kinjarapu Achchennaidu as a State Minister.

However, residents argue that this political influence has done little to bring tangible progress to Srikakulam.

People are asking why local youth are still struggling for employment and why no major industries or development projects have been established in the region.

They point out that despite being politically active for decades, Srikakulam remains one of the most backward districts in Andhra Pradesh.

Many recall that the district has consistently stood by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and particularly supported the Kinjarapu family through thick and thin.

Yet, even when given an opportunity to repay that trust, the leaders have allegedly failed to deliver any significant benefit to the district.

Locals also highlight unfulfilled promises — such as the proposed BPCL oil refinery, which was once said to be coming to Srikakulam but eventually shifted to Nellore. They question whether there is any concrete plan to truly transform the district.

Adding to the anger, people criticize the government’s move to propose a new cargo airport, even though the Bhogapuram International Airport is already under development nearby.

Farmers and activists argue that such proposals only threaten fertile lands without creating meaningful employment opportunities.

As nearly one and a half years have passed since the new government took charge, residents are demanding that the leaders focus on real, long-term development that can bring jobs and infrastructure to Srikakulam — rather than empty promises and political displays.
