There has been big hue and cry over the whisky brand President Medal in Andhra Pradesh.
Many trolls are being made on social media that YCP Government is demeaning the glory of the President with this kind of nomenclature to a whisky brand.
Some yellow media dailies have also published stories against the government.
But the facts remain different. The permission to sell whisky on this brand name was given by Chandrababu Naidu in April 2019, in the elections season.
"Whatever the credit with regard to President Medal whisky, it should be given to Babu's government and should be underlined that YS Jagan's government has not given any permission to any new liquor brand after it came to power", says a ruling party MLA.
