PK Looking For Consolidation Of Oppn Votes?

Popular political strategist and newly-appointed consultant of the YSR Congress party Prashant Kishor is learnt to be trying to consolidate the opposition vote bank in Andhra Pradesh so as to put up a strong fight against the ruling Telugu Desam Party in the next assembly elections in 2019.

According to sources, Prashant has advised Jagan not to go it alone in the 2019 elections but to take the other political parties along with him, since it is going to be a tough fight.

“Let us not underestimate the TDP and overestimate our strength. Any split in the opposition vote will be an advantage to the TDP,” he reportedly told Jagan.

So, the best way is to consolidate all the opposition parties which are against the TDP. This includes the Left parties, the Congress and also the Jana Sena Party floated by power star Pawan Kalyan.

As part of the strategy, Prashant is learnt to have suggested Jagan to hold negotiations with Pawan Kalyan first. He told the YSRC chief that he would take the initiative to bring the Jana Sena and YSRC together.

It is learnt Prashant sought an appointment with Pawan Kalyan once he returns from his shooting schedules. If there is a harmony between the two parties, it will be a big trouble for TDP, say sources.
