Paul gave 70 cr to Lankan terror victims?

Maverick evangelist and Praja Shanti Party president K A Paul might have flopped miserably in the recent assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, but he continue to brag about the tremendous clout he wields across the globe.

After remaining in hibernation for some time after the assembly elections, Paul surfaced in Sri Lanka, which witnessed one of the biggest terrorist attacks in the world on April 21.

Since most of the victims are Christians, Paul rushed to Colombo in the name of peace mission and issued a statement from there, appealing for global peace.

Well, one might have thought for a moment that Paul must be joking and he must be somewhere in East Godavari district.

But the photographs of Paul holding a one-on-one meeting with Mahinda Rajapaksa, former president of Sri Lanka, appeared in the social media. He was found discussing something with Rajapaksa over a cup of tea.

So, Paul was not joking. But what was astonishing was that Paul openly announced he had donated Rs 70 crore to the families of Colombo terrorist blast victims as a humanitarian aid.

He is even learnt to have promised the Sri Lankan government that he could mobilise more funds from US president Donald Trump.

One does not know how far his claims are correct, but one thing is certain: Paul still has a lot of following in several countries.

Even in the past, one could see pictures of Paul having meeting with several top leaders of the world.

One wonders why Paul who has so much clout in other countries behaves in a silly manner back home!
