Ustaad Bhagat Singh is trying to hold steady at the box office, but the film did not show the expected growth over the Eid weekend.
The Pawan Kalyan action entertainer collected around ₹9.15 crore on Day 3, which was Saturday. These collections came from nearly 3,340 shows.
The film’s main release is in Telugu, where it recorded an occupancy of around 36%. Although this was lower than the opening day, the weekend helped the film maintain a somewhat stable audience.
With this, the film’s three-day total net collection in India has reached around ₹52.90 crore. Its gross collection in India stands at approximately ₹62.42 crore.
However, the film has performed poorly in overseas markets, where it has collected only about ₹9.25 crore so far. This takes the film’s worldwide total to around ₹71.67 crore.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh was released on March 19 on the occasion of Ugadi. The festival holiday helped the film get a decent opening, with strong footfalls in the initial days.
But now, despite the weekend advantage, the film’s real test has begun, especially since it has failed to show notable growth.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the film stars Pawan Kalyan and Raashii Khanna in the lead roles.
The cast also includes R. Parthiban, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, Rajiv Kanakala, and Posani Krishna Murali in important roles. The music has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad and S. Thaman.
