Now, Time Is Up TDP-BJP Alliance

It is high time the ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh takes a decision as to whether it will continue in the NDA facing humiliation repeatedly or get out of the alliance to prove its identity.

The Bharatiya Janata Party had a last chance on Friday to prove its sincerity and commitment to help Andhra Pradesh which suffered heavily due to bifurcation of the combined state.

Finance minister Arun Jaitely delivered his last speech on the Union budget in Rajya Sabha in the evening and the MPs from Andhra waited with a hope that he would make at least some announcements in his speech.

In the last 24 hours, the MPs made hectic lobbying with all the people concerned – they met veteran BJP leader Advani, who in turn asked Jaitely to do something. They had a talk with BJP chief Amit Shah. And the finance department officials of AP had lengthy discussions with the Central government officials.

But when Jaitely rose to speak in Rajya Sabha, it was evident that the BJP has decided to take the TDP very lightly and it has no concern for Andhra Pradesh.

He repeated the same sentences that he spoke in Lok Sabha on Thursday. Nothing more and nothing less.

Now, it is time for the TDP to respond and take some concrete action!
