North-South Row In TTD, Too!

North-South Row In TTD, Too!

Looks like power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is going too crazy on north-south divide and taking it a bit too far.

On Monday, Pawan Kalyan kicked up the controversy yet again on north-south divide by questioning the appointment of Anil Kumar Singhal, a 1993 batch IAS officer, as the Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD).

He took to twitter to question the propriety of the Naidu government in appointing Singhal as TTD executive officer.

"I am not against 'North Indian IAS' officials taking charge of TTD. But would they allow any South Indian' to take up the administrative position of such sacred shrine of Northern India like "Amaranath, Varanasi and Madhura etc.." So when they don't allow South Indians head such...why should South Indians accept this?

I wonder how TDP and Hon. Chief Minister allowed it to happen. They owe an explanation to the people of AP and South (sic)," he tweeted.

Telugu Desam Party spokesman Varla Ramaiah immediately countered Pawan Kalyan’s remarks. He alleged that Pawan Kalyan was craving publicity which was the reason why he was raising such issues.

He advised the Jana Sena Chief not to divide the country as South and North.

“There is nothing wrong in appointing a north Indian as the TTD executive officer. Several Telugu people held key positions in the north, such as Central Vigilance Commissioner Veeraiah Chowdary.

“It is better not whip up the regional passions for political mileage,” he said.
