TDP's Free Publicity To Jagan's Public Visits

TDP's Free Publicity To Jagan's Public Visits

Whenever Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy visiting some place or the other, the state government’s reaction drew more attention than the visit itself.

By placing restrictions on crowd gatherings and movements, they unintentionally gave the event massive publicity.

The police is giving statements that a rowdy sheet would be opened if the visitors' count increases the limit. Still the public ignoring such statements and coming in huge numbers, defying the system.

Had they chosen to ignore the visit, it would have passed as a routine political move. But by trying to control it, they created a bigger buzz and a sense of unnecessary drama.

The restrictions led to stronger reactions from the YSRCP, which used the moment to display its strength with large crowds and loud slogans.

The whole situation turned into a show of power, with thousands gathering to challenge the state’s decision.

It’s normal in a democracy for opposition leaders to go out and meet people. Placing limits on such visits sends the wrong message and raises questions about political fairness.

Interestingly, Jagan made a similar mistake earlier when he imposed restrictions on Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam padayatra. That move, too, only made Lokesh’s campaign stronger and gave it extra attention.

When people feel they are being stopped or silenced, they often come back with more energy and greater support.

In politics, trying to block public outreach usually backfires. Instead of reducing impact, it boosts the opposition's image and draws sympathy. Leaders must learn that democracy thrives on open expression.

Controlling crowd movement or creating tension over visits only adds fuel to the fire. What could have been a normal visit turned into a political flashpoint; entirely because of overreaction.
