Naidu Takes U-Turn On Relations With BJP!

It appears Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has taken a complete U-turn on his strained relationship with the Bharatiya Janata Party and his party’s alliance with the NDA.

Naidu, who till the other day was fuming at the Centre for putting spokes in the construction of Polavaram project and even declared that he was ready to give the project back to the centre if the latter did not help him, suddenly changed his stand on Friday and said all the issues pertaining to the project with the Centre were being sorted out amicably.

“The Centre has raised certain objections on tenders and other issues related to Polavaram project. We are trying to sort them about through negotiations. I am glad that Union minister Nitin Gadkari declared that the Centre would take all steps to complete the project before the 2019 deadline,” Naidu told the media.

He said there was no need for any white paper on Polavaram, as all the details on the progress of works and financials are being hosted on the government website.

“My statement in the assembly itself is a white paper,” he said, referring to the demand of power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan.

Interestingly, Naidu’s son Lokesh also made a more or similar statement, saying there were no problems in the TDP-BJP alliance till now. There is absolutely no gap between the two parties even on Polavaram issue, he clarified.
