Naidu Masterminded Train Burning At Tuni?

The burning of train at Tuni during the agitation for Kapu reservations at Tuni in East Godavari district on January 31, 2016 was the handiwork of none other than Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

This was the allegation made by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Saturday.

“The YSR Congress party strongly supported the demand for inclusion of Kapus in the BC list and provision of reservations for them. In order to fix our party workers and leaders in false cases, Naidu himself masterminded violence in the agitation by abetting burning of the train,” he alleged.

On the fateful day, the agitators belonging to the Kapu caste allegedly set fire to Ratnachal Express when it halted at Tuni railway station, following a call given by Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham as part of Kapu garjana meeting held to demand for inclusion of Kapus in the backward class list.

“While it was Naidu who had deliberately engineering violence in the agitation, false cases were foisted against YSRC activists and leaders. Even SCs, STs and women were framed in false cases, which are still continuing,” Jagan said.

He further alleged that the TDP leaders were indulging in sand mafia.

“They have not left even a spoon of sand in Tandava river. In fact, they looted every natural resource that is available in the state,” Jagan said.
