Mudragada Not Interested In Pawan Kalyan

Kapu strongman and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham, who announced second phase of agitation for Kapu reservations, is not interested in inviting power star Pawan Kalyan into his movement.

“Pawan Kalyan has never been in the movement for Kapu reservations. So, we don’t find it necessary to invite him into the movement. We don’t need his support at all,” Mudragada told media on Tuesday.

Apparently, Mudragada is not happy with the statement of Pawan that some sections were trying to give him caste tag.

During his speech at a public meeting in Tirupati recently, Pawan said he did not believe in any caste or creed, but some people were trying to attribute casteism to him.

“I am a Hindu, but my wife is a Christian. When she got my daughter baptised at Russian Christian Missionary, I did not mind. So, don’t give me any caste or religion tag,” he said.

Interestingly, Mudragada welcomed the support from Pawan’s elder brother Chiranjeevi, who expressed his solidarity with the movement for Kapu reservations.

YSR Congress party leader Ambati Rambabu also ruled out inviting Pawan Kalyan into the movement. Asked whether Pawan Kalyan would be with them, Ambati said:

“It’s better to ask him (Pawan Kalyan) whether he’s going to join us or not. We are not going to invite him.”
