After keeping silent for a couple of months, former minister and Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham is back in action with his attack on Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
On Monday, Mudragada dashed off yet another open letter to Naidu, criticising the latter for instigating his “media baron” friend to publish a book denigrating the Kapu agitation in general and him (Mudragada) in particular.
“I have come to know that this media house and another person whom Naidu is patronising are coming out with a book against me.
Well, you can get any number of such books published and make money. But I am not going to succumb to your coercive tactics,” he said.
Stating that he had become mentally and physically strong thanks to N T Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu, Mudragada said his only objective now was to take revenge on the TDP government.
He said the same person whom Naidu was patronising now had indulged in carrying tales against him (Naidu) and his family members.
“Everybody knows you will stoop to any level for the sake of power and money. But I am not such a person. That is why, you have developed grouse against me,” Mudragada said.
He accused Naidu of having caste and community feeling from top to bottom.
“But when we raise the issue of backwardness of our Kapu community, you won’t tolerate. You don’t even allow us to meet at one place and discuss our issues. Let me also see how long you will run this devilish rule,” he said.
