Konathala praises Naidu, hesitant to join TDP!

Former MP Konathala Ramakrishna, who has been confined to fighting on the issues concerning north-coastal Andhra after quitting the YSR Congress party, seems to be evincing interest in joining the Telugu Desam Party, but is still hesitant on taking a decision fearing backlash from people and his followers.

In an informal chat with media in Visakhapatnam, Konathala said he would consider joining the TDP if it helps the development of north coastal Andhra.

“If my joining the TDP will help the state government bring railway zone for Visakhapatnam and girijan university, AIIMS and Metro Rail for north coastal Andhra, I will definitely take a positive decision,” he said.

Konathala was all praise for TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for showing a lot of interest in completion of Polavaram project and release of Rs 2,114 crore for the first phase of Uttarandhra Sujala Sravanthi.

“Naidu will remain in the hearts of the people of Andhra forever, if he completes Polavaram project during his tenure,” Konathala said.

Surprisingly, the former MP declared that he would invite YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to the meeting he is going to convene soon to discuss the issues confronting the north-coastal Andhra.

“I am also inviting Jana Sena Party Pawan Kalyan and leaders of all the other political parties,” he added.
