Will he go, will he not? This is what the Congress leadership in Telangana is thinking about former minister and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. He has been keeping the party guessing as to whether and when he would quit the party and join the TRS.
Komatireddy shot back at the media when they asked him as to when he was joining the TRS.
“Who told you that I am joining the TRS? Just because I met Harish Rao, you created stories. There is absolutely no political significance to our meeting and I went to him only to discuss the irrigation projects,” he said.
Enquiries revealed that Komatireddy wanted a concrete assurance from TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao that he should be given a berth in the Cabinet and reduce the importance of Power Minister G Jagadeesh Reddy, who is calling shots in Nalgonda district. But KCR did not give assurance to Komatireddy on either demand. That is why he is said to be in two minds in joining the TRS, say sources.
