KCR's grandiose schemes of constructing 'Malaysian Petronas' like towers and skyscrapers around 'Hussain Sagar' came in for a lot of criticism and ridicule from the 'Opposition' in the Assembly.
Bringing up the unfortunate incident of the woman who was washed away in an open drain in Uppal, Hyderabad following a heavy downpour, the ‘opposition’ asked the government and KCR to first ensure basic amenities for the people.
“The city of Hyderabad is badly lacking in basic amenities and here we have a Chief Minister who knows only thing, to keep on making promise after promise which he cannot hope to deliver. We don’t need skyscrapers. It is enough if he provides us with basic amenities,” said the opposition MLA’s.
