KCR Not To Shift Secretariat?

KCR Not To Shift Secretariat?

Strange are the ideas of Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

They keep changing with every passing day and it is very difficult for the officials or even the party people to understand what is there in his mind and how it changes from day to day.

Take for instance, KCR’s oft-repeated statements on the State Secretariat. First he said he would dismantle the existing Secretariat and shift it lock, stock and barrel to the premises of Government Chest Hospital, Erragadda, since the existing building is not in tune with the Vasthu.

A few days later, he said he was dropping the idea of shifting Secretariat, since there were objections to the demolition of Chest Hospital Building, which is a heritage structure.

There was a talk that the government would make some Vasthu changes in the present Secretariat complex. Apparently, KCR was fearing backlash from the people in the wake of GHMC elections.

Once the TRS won the GHMC polls with thumping majority, KCR changed his tune again.

He said he had got the people’s mandate for his government’s decisions; and so, he would go ahead with his plans of shifting Secretariat, emptying of Hussainsagar lake, construction of skyscrapers around the lake and demolition of Osmania General Hospital.

But, all of a sudden, on April 14, KCR hinted that the Secretariat would not be shifted.

While laying foundation stone for the Ambedkar statue at NTR Garden, he said the Secretariat complex would get the international recognition with the presence of tallest Ambedkar statue on the left side and Lord Buddha statue in front in the lake.

Now, how should we understand KCR’s mind?
