"Kantiki Nidra Vachchune.. Kantakudaina Satravudu Okandu Tanantivaadu Kalginan.." (Does any leader get proper sleep, if there is someone who is equally powerful and popular like him?) – goes a Telugu poem.
This is the situation of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He has been earning more and more detractors and critics with every passing day, while his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao is acquiring more and more fans -- most of them from Seemandhra.
The latest to join KCR’s fan club is actor-producer-director Manchu Mohan Babu.
On Monday, Mohan Babu described KCR as the most popular chief minister after legendary actor-former chief minister N T Rama Rao.
“The Telangana chief minister has been doing a great job for the welfare of people. He is the only chief minister after NTR in doing something good for the poor. The people of Telangana are fortunate to have KCR as their chief minister,” Mohan Babu said, during his visit to Vemualwada temple in Karimmnagar.
Definitely, his comments must be a heartburn for Naidu. Even his own brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna had earlier praised KCR as a visionary and task master.
What more insult does Naidu get than having a rival who is neighbour’s envy?
