Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu might have heaved a sigh of relief with the ending of 14-day fast by Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham, but troubles for him are far from over.
With Mudragada handing over the baton to Kapu Joint Action Committee, the agitatoin for inclusion of Kapus in the BC list is going to get intensified. The JAC on Thursday decided to step up the agitation and bring pressure on Naidu to fulfil their demands.
They are also planning to corner Naidu till the cases against the accused in Tuni violence are lifted. The JAC, which has a strong backing of the YSR Congress party, is understood to have got all the resources to fight a long-drawn battle.
Mudragada said instead of considering the assurances given, the government subjected him and his family to humiliation. “I shall continue my fight for justice," he said.
