Kapus Plan Political Battle Against Naidu

Apparently realising that taking to streets and holding violent protests would only give advantage to Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Kapu leaders are now planning innovative strategies to launch a political battle against the TDP and weaken its electoral base.

The latest strategies were discussed at the Kapu Joint Action Committee meeting held in Hyderabad under the leadership of former minister and Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanbham.

The JAC leaders decided to intensify their agitation for BC reservations in a systematic manner so as to hit the vote bank of Naidu by 2019 elections.

As part of the strategy, the Kapu community leaders have decided to form district, mandal and village level joint action committees to fight for Kapu reservations. It will be sustained and long-drawn battle against the government.

Every fortnight, we are going to take up agitation programmes across the state and Mudragada himself would personally participate in every protest rally.

Simultaneously, the Kapu JAC leaders would meet each and every community leaders personally and draw them into the movement.

"We are not demanding a share in someone else's pie. We are not against any community. We want our rightful reservations. We would not have asked for these reservations if Chandrababu Naidu did not promise us that he would give us BC status if he comes to power," Mudragada said.

His objective is to consolidate the Kapu vote bank by the next elections and turn it against the TDP, if the Kapu reservations are not implemented.

Let us see how Naidu will tackle this issue.
